Starting Out

Hi,

I figure the best way for me to get this blog starting is to tell you why is was started.  Next year will be my 8th year as a teacher, scary right?  You'd think by now I'd have it down to a science, but surprisingly I don't. (Teacher sarcasm)  Next year is a whole different ballgame for me so I want to share my hits, misses and everything in between.

Starting in August I'll be teaching 5th & 6th grade Reading/Language Arts and be working as my schools first ever Reading Specialist!  Splitting my time between the two will be a first for me as I've always done one or the other.

I'm going to use this space to share great ideas, tips and books.  Probably while also working out my struggles from time to time as well.

So let's hope for the best and get ready for an exciting year!
